The New Hampshire Highland Games, takes place in the beautiful White Mountains at the Loon Mountain Ski Resort, Lincoln, N.H. (about an hour north of Concord, N.H.), and in various venues in the villages of Lincoln and Woodstock. The dates are automatically set for the third weekend after Labor Day Weekend each year; for the upcoming Games, this will be September 17-19, 2010.
Many people start to make their accommodation arrangements a year in advance to get the best condos in the closest locations. Tickets go on sale in June, and the competition forms become available from the website in June. Fiddlers and dancers will most likely be found at the Village at Loon, the Nordic Inn, the Alpine Village, and other places. Look for fun fiddling and piping after hours Friday and Saturday nights at the Common Man in Lincoln.
Check back here for updates. As always let me know if you note any questions, ideas, non-working links, etc. Return links always welcome.
