Calling All Dancers! There are several great dancing opportunities at the Games, in the tradition of Games Founder Evelyn M.E. Murray, F.Scot. There will be Scottish Country Dance workshops taught by certificated teachers of the Boston Branch, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, and high-profile performances of the Demonstration Team, and of course our new Ball, the Loon Mountain Assembly - all with live music: Saturday 10 am - Demonstration Team - Concert Tent Saturday 11 am - SCD Family Session - Octagon Lodge Saturday 2 pm - Scottish Country Dance - Competition Building Saturday 3 pm - Preview for Country Ball - Competition Building Saturday 8:30 pm - Loon Mountain Assembly with Hanneke Cassel & Barbara MacDonald Magone, and MC Dale Birdsall - Governors Pavilion Sunday 11:15 am - Demonstration Team & N.H. This is the nice cozy building just to the right of the Governor Adams Lodge. Several of our events are held there, and between events is a nice place and time for dancers and musicians to hang out, jam, visit, perhaps leave our stuff while we go get lunch or visit other events. It's not far from the Fiddle Competition site (competitions all day Saturday), so it'll be easy for dancers and fiddlers to keep in touch. This is an indoor site, good for dancing, and in lieu of a tent. Perhaps we'll have visits from the Strathspey & Reel Society of New Hampshire and the Boston Scottish Fiddle Club, interested Scots and ceilidh dancers. We can try to make this a Place To Be, perhaps with decorations, greeters, informational fliers, photos. Can someone make a sort of poster? See you there!
