With Ruth Budden, the Chair of the whole Summer School. Huzzah!

With Esther & Campbell MacKay. We met Esther here at Springstep; she
"encouraged" people into Robert's class because of his "jete."
Campbell made everything run smoothly during the Summer School.

With Trish and Pat Henley, great dancers and new friends. Trish doubles
occasionally on the violin and she joined our orchestra for the final performance.

Long-time friends and suite-mates Noeline O'Connor and Iain Boyd.
Last we saw them was at St. Andrews, 1984. Noeline is now an RSCDS
Examiner, and Iain is an internationally-known devisor of dances.

Variously known as US and Them (US = U.S.), Wellington & Washington
(they live in Wellington, we live on Washington St), or simply as
Peter Elmes and his Band with Barbara & Robert McOwen. Meet Lynn Scott
at the piano, Wild Man Fiddler John Smith, and Peter Elmes, accordion.

And my Instant Fiddler Soul Mate, John Smith. We never
quite finished trading tunes during the week and will just
have to meet again to finish the job!

With Lydia Hoby-Sharpe, an up-and-coming fiddler. We may well
see her here in Boston for the Ball, and she is a student of
Hanneke's at the N.Z. Fiddle School; about to start a course with
Iain Fraser at the RSAMD with John Smith as her local mentor.

A very late-night session at the Hub with Peter Elmes leading us through a motley set.

Session, with JAMs (Junior Associate Members, a brilliant system
for involving teens) dancing awa.

A respite day, nice drive to the country home of Rhoda & Noel Tanner,
with Kate & Alex Gray and Jo Reid and Sue. The deck fits 3 sets.
overlooking 65 rose varieties, overlooking amazing garden with critters,
overlooking a million-dollar view of Kawakawa Bay, and the whole
thing is also a Worm Farm!! Do ask! It's fascinating!

Well! That's it for now! Check again for photos of our 1st 2-day vacation on the
Coromandel Peninsula, and our 2nd 2-day vacation at the Bay of Islands.
